^ That's cheap. He was the original member, it was in his basement and his brother who brainstormed the bands name, wrote the songs on the debut album which is the one that got them signed along with certain songs on Fly by Night. By rights he should be mentioned.

It does seem unfair to exclude one of the founding members altogether so I agree he should be mentioned and maybe Geddy, Alex and Neil will say something at the ceremony.

What a Rush...lol!

Funny enough, as I was coming into the Progressive Rock section of these forums, I was thinking about posting something about Rush & it's the first thing I see!:omg: They've long been one of the best threesome's in popular music without a doubt. Cleveland was a huge part & fully embraced Rush as a band in the early days too.

Anyways, I love Moving Pictures, Fly By Night, Rush, A Show Of Hands, Permanent Waves & most other Rush albums like many of you may. Hell, I even bought many of their somewhat "bust" albums because I was a fan. Obviously Neil Peart is/was a big Drum influence on me too.

The main point, other than being a fan of the band, is that I gotta tell everyone here about one of my favorite, yet most underrated Rush albums out there. Hell, I probably would say that it's my favorite because it's that good & musically interesting. That album is called Hold Your Fire & you NEED this album in your collection if you're supposedly a fan or an aspiring "new" fan of Rush.

Go get it now! Hurry up! Don't waste the good times a comin'.:cheers2

Geddy didn't even mention John at the first show after his death.

That kind of surprises me, but I guess because RUSH has done so much since Neil joined the band it must feel to all three of them that they've always been the band, and John was an anomaly.

Apparently at the RnR HOF induction, Geddy made some sort of comment about how getting into the HOF was something they always thought was no big deal, but now apparently it is a big deal.

Not quite sure what he means by that.

Also, Alex went off and said "Blah" for 2 straight minutes. Trying to be funny but it came off as really ****ing ridiculous. blah1.gif

I took it to mean he didn't know he'd feel so happy/excited/relieved/whatever about getting in.
