Another thread I missed since coming here........big fan of Roxy.
Like many I was intrigued by the covers of 'For Your Pleasue and Stranded' in 1973. I became a fan after hearing the music. Wonderful quirky arty pop rock.
They played later in their career in Chicago at University of Illinois in 1983 and my brother and I went.
I told him if he came up to see them the ticket was on me ( He lived in Florida then ).
I bought the vinyl Brit EG first 7 lp Roxy box when it was released...still have it as well as my US releases. I bought Ferry's first 7 solo as well....after that he became too much of a lounge crooner for me.
I still pull out an lp now and then and play them.
