Off the list Tommy .. but if these two qualify they are my favourites..

I am glad someone posted War of the World's that is one of the best and most unique albums I have in the library.

Here's a picture of my vinyl copy, I still have it and I bought the CD when it came out.

I'm pretty sure Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat are considered a musical though. :D

I love the variation in the polls on CRF :grinthumb. For this one I chose Tommy,as it was one of the first 'Operacepts' ( I did that as I could'nt decide if its a full opera or concept album:D). :cheers2 Bryter.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this basically a concept album?

That's the defination for a rock opera taken from Wikipedia. As I was saying on earlier thread some times a concept and a rock opera album can be interchangable though from my understanding a concept album doesn't follow quite as 'narrow' or 'strict' parameters as a rock opera. Also does a rock opera need to have a musical 'opera' composition? That I'm not really sure of. The Pretty Things S.F. Sorrow doesn't sound nearly as 'operatic' as Jesus Christ Superstar. Where do you draw the line? To me, there is some overlap either way. Besides, I always give the option of chosing 'other'. Kind a covers my ass.:D
