With the emergence of the country forum recently, I've gone a little country as of late. Post your favorite (or least favorite) country remakes of rock songs here. I know the majority of members here probably aren't too impressed with country remakes, but I find some of them to be fun, refreshing and inventive!

Landslide (Fleetwood Mac ---> The Dixie Chicks)

I'll Stand By You (The Pretenders ---> Carrie Underwood)

Tiny Dancer (Elton John ---> Tim McGraw)

Stairway to Heaven (Led Zeppelin ---> Dolly Parton) This one made me laugh hysterically. :D

House of the Rising Sun - Animals .................................. Waylon Jennings

Of course, The Animals weren't the first to record this song, nor did they write it, (and no one knows who really wrote it, regardless of what that plagiarist Bobby Dylan tries to tell you), but since The Animals did the most popular or well known version, that's why I'm listing it.
