Re: Robin Trower

anybody know if robin trower is still touring or if he has retired?

I saw Robin last November. He's still touring and kickin' it It was a dream come true to see this guitar legend. I'd never seen him before so this was a treat.

There are a lot of Trower albums I don't have but here's what I have or heard:

Bridge Of Sighs
Take What You Need
20th Century Blues
Living Out Of Time
Seven Moons (with Jack Bruce, from 2008) <----- absolutely killer. His deep, Strat tone is off the hook. Get it.

A great, great guitarist.

Re: Robin Trower

Saw Robin Trower last night. Absolutely world class guitar player. Been listening to his music since 1976/77. Played a.o. For Earth Below, Too Rolling Stoned, Day of The Eagle, Bridge of Sighs, Lady Love and Little bit of Sympathy.

Davey Pattison on vocals.....hum, got a great voice. His stage performance is non excistent. His head down on the mic, not really any interaction with the audience. Looks like he doesn't want to be on the stage.

Still, a great show from a great guitar player.

Here's a song they played, with Davey on vocals.

I love Trower !! One my favorites from the 70's ( and I think it's pretty obvious
I love seventies hardrock & prog ). For Earth Below and Brigade of Signs are both classic heavy blues rock albums IMO and two of my favorite albums.

Excellent EF!! I've been into a Trower mood all week.. A friend of mine I've know since high school was chatting with me on Facebook about making plans to get together to go see Trower if he comes our way.. He's over in the UK touring right now but supposed to hit the states.. Can't wait..
Davey does a good job on vocals..
Last time I heard Trower and Jack Bruce had put together another CD.
Here's a couple of songs from Trower I've been learning Bass line too..

^^ Magic, I didn't know Robin Trower released an album this year. Needless to say, I'll be picking it up soon. (Hopefully, this weekend while Christmas shopping.) :D

So, in the meantime, let's ''Shame The Devil'' in Switzerland...

Wow, Trower still sounds great in 2010. I've never seen him live in concert before. Nex time around, I gotta gotta get tickets. Trower playing that classic Fender in front of a stack of Marshall amps - I'm so there!
