Well this bit of news ,while not wishing a banning on anyone, is good news to me of sorts. Only because it verifies that my friend who tried to sign up here and also received the same message and was not allowed to join is also the victim of a computer problem and truly has never been here before just as he claimed.

I don't know what to say, except have him try to sign up when I am logged in and you are also here and can relay messages to me from him. I can see the people attempting to log in and receive errors.....and clear it up right then. I will even go one step beyond, since he has been inconvenienced, and approve his account without the email confirmation

I get the same problem guys. It's just to do with you Internet Service Provider, not to do with any settings!

Don't stress, we're not banning people at random for the fun of it

A small suggestion....maybe if Groovy would simply add a rocking IP address to the rolling one, it might fix the problem?

I'll talk to him this weekend and from your responses I'm sure something will be worked out between either you or LG, if he still wants to join.

Groovy it sounds like your internet provider runs a dynamic IP assignment... meaning you get a different IP everytime you log on or boot your computer.

You can check with them to see if they will provide you a static IP... meaning you will have the same one everytime.

You can check your IP address by ... clicking: Start/Settings/Network Connections/Local Area Connection



Then click the Support tab...



Next time you get the error check the IP you are assigned ... Rebooting your computer should take care of the problem.

If you are running VISTA here is how to find your IP address:

click start.

righ click on network.

click properties on the pop up menu

now click "View Status" on the network and sharing center window.


Click "details" on that pop up menu


The next window gives you all kinds of information including your IP address

look for" IPv4 IP address".........that is your IP address
