Great American prog-power, very dramatic. 8.5/10.
Always love that chug sound...nostalgic vibe too:8/10.
Three Man Army -Polecat Woman.
( Paul Gurvitz.)
Never heard of them, a full on Riffy and Rocky song, a nice blast 6.8/10
The Purps never do no wrong!
Nice keyboard work too.8/10.
Wonder if this was the next Small Faces 45rpm?
Great boogie-rock by HP. Marriott on his best. 9/10.
Thanks a lot for posting this hurricane tune, man. My fav song from "Slaves and Masters".
In regard to Slave and Masters it is interesting that it was your favourite song. I slaved away listening to most of the songs on the album which are all quite special and ended up choosing Fire in the Basement because it had a little blues element mixed with a little Jazzy feel, the instrumental interaction between Ritchie Blackmore , Jon Lord and the rest of the band sold it to me
As to Def Lepard 'Tear it Down' as we (my friends and me) use to say back in the 70' & 80's a very tasty band with a very tasty song. 8.5/10
I often think when something special like The Doors come along- it ain't gonna last, like Hendrix and others from the 27 club..serious chemicals were taken- to go beyond the norm...to deliver such as this to us! 10/10 for energy, rebellion and knife edge blues.
Manfred Manns Earthband - Countdown.
Very good fast instrumental with a catchy main riff. 7/10.
Covers everything good about the genre, love the bass.
The name of the song fully reflects its essence. Real Americana. 7.5/10.
