In regard to Slave and Masters it is interesting that it was your favourite song. I slaved away listening to most of the songs on the album which are all quite special and ended up choosing Fire in the Basement because it had a little blues element mixed with a little Jazzy feel, the instrumental interaction between Ritchie Blackmore , Jon Lord and the rest of the band sold it to me
As to Def Lepard 'Tear it Down' as we (my friends and me) use to say back in the 70' & 80's a very tasty band with a very tasty song. 8.5/10
I often think when something special like The Doors come along- it ain't gonna last, like Hendrix and others from the 27 club..serious chemicals were taken- to go beyond the norm...to deliver such as this to us! 10/10 for energy, rebellion and knife edge blues.
