Merle Haggard has passed away, on his 79th Birthday.

Merle was one of my favourite singers/songwriters and I couldn't possibly say it better than Charlie Daniels, who wrote on Twitter "Country music has suffered one of the greatest losses it will ever experience".

Thank you for your music Merle!

I had an AM radio in the 70's. Chicago had two stations I could listen to on the AM dial, WLS (top 40/pop/rock) & WMAQ (country).
