Roger Daltrey had a solo album out called "Under A Raging Moon",and the title track which was a tribute to Moon had,

Martin Chambers
Roger Taylor
Cozy Powell
Stewart Copeland
Zak Starkey
Carl Palmer
Mark Brzezicki

all playing a Moon like drum solo at the end of the song...

maybe that's where the rumour started.

Much of Moon's playing was so random and spontaneous, I'd be surprised if anyone or anything could reproduce it...Moon himself couldn't do it.

Then how did he play the songs in concert if he couldn't reproduce it?

Sorry, that doesn't make any sense.

I think some people don't like Keith Moon because he wasn't always textbook.

I love Moonie. What I meant was he didn't play the songs note by note. He just pounded out Rock and Roll.
