A new charismatic, late 60s/early 70s retro rock band I've been getting into recently are Purson. Hailing from London and active since 2011, their sound is a heady concoction of psychedelic, folk and prog rock. Vocalist, Rosie Cunningham, lists The Beatles, T-Rex, Bowie, Slade, The Doors, Led Zeppelin and The Faces amongst her influences, and Purson's debut album 'The Circle and the Blue Door' is quite a diverse affair, ranging from dreamy numbers to darker and heavier tracks. Anyway enough of my yapping, give these guys a listen, if Ms Cunningham's enchanting voice and the equally bewitching lyrics don't draw you in I don't know what will
