As far back as 1974 they began featuring this album for public laser light shows. The Hayden Planetarium in NYC was among the earliest. It still goes on as an annual event

I've never considered pf to be a prog band They started as a psych outfit and then moved over to standard classic rock when they went mainstream and decided to make some money

I've decided to become a Pink Floyd fan. I plan to listen to all their albums after I get back from the lake. I've never seen them in concert, but I went to a Pink Floyd laser light show in middle school. I'm starting a new chapter in my life. :)

You won't be disappointed. That band is rich with a medley of musical genres that is as expressive as any postmodern form of artwork. I particularly enjoy their 'epic' works that stand alone without any need for judgment. That's what Classic Rock is all about! :flirt

Just came across this. David Gilmour - Comfortably Numb - Live in Pompeii in 2016

this song, in almost any iteration, continues to give me goosebumps. Love Gilmour's voice in it, but those two solos? I still think that they might be just about the most heart-felt guitar solos ever recorded. I never tire of them and they always bring up specific emotions in me.

I have the Pompeii concert on Blu-ray and it's amazing. You should also check out "Live In Gdansk" which has an unbelievable live version of "Echoes" on it.
