Amazing line up..I would definitely go if it wasn't so far away ..still kind of thinking about it. Might see if my GF will go.

Yea it really is an amazing line up. Much better than last years IMO.

Pentagram is looking for a new guitarist. Victor Griffin is performing his last shows during the October & November European Relentless tour. Victor's future will be focusing on his solo career.

What I find amusing; Pentagram have announced to the public an address to apply for the position with the following expectations/qualifications:


1. Live near Washington, DC.
2. Photo, bio, and audio of your playing skills (Pentagram covers preferred).
3. Play the blazing, early blues-based, hard rock, proto-metal of the late Vincent McAllister as well as the doom metal mastery of the one and only Victor Griffin.
4. Sobriety.

Sox and I went to see these guys the other night with Black Magician and Gentlemen's Pistols. The best band were Gentlemen's Pistols, one of the members from Black Magician told us that they were a cross between Sabbath and Atomic Rooster and we are still trying to work that one out, musically they were very good but the singer was bad!! They were firstb on the bill here is a pic...

The same with Pentagram who headlined, very good musicians but the singer was rubbish, you kinda got used to his drone...here is a pic...

First Daze Here is some of the best Rock to come out of the 70's, bar none. I like their later material as well, but that's the definitice top dog for me. No, it's not sludgy & heavy like Vol. 4 era Sabbath, but it reminds me a lot of Sabbath's debut, which is my favorite 70's record from them anyway.


I wish more played in that bluesy Proto-Metal style. Nowadays, anyone who comes close skips it & goes into full on, fuzzed out Stoner Metal. The only real close one I've heard is Graveyard.
