I think it is time for some of the great performers of our time to return and do unplugged shows on MTV or maybe even prime time. Let's start with the best choice Sir Paul McCartney. Yes I would to see Eric Clapton,Robert Plant and Rod Stewart, but let's start with Paul. I'm listening to "Tug of War" right now and it is quite a good collection. It's not a Band on the Run high quality but how many cds are.

Moving On to 1989!!! FLOWERS IN THE DIRT was a FANTASTIC return in terms of production and growth. Paul had solidified a new line up for this new album that was pretty hot as well!!!

Along with Linda they had

Robbie McIntosh - acoustic guitar, electric guitar
Hamish Stuart - electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass
Chris Whitten - drums, percussion
Paul "Wix" Wickens - keyboards

Paul also had done some work with Elvis Costello on a couple tracks...did some writing with the guy and they came up with some good stuff. Anyone that hasn't treated themselves to picking up a copy of this album should do so. I think it's a fine, fine album, but hey that's all just my opinion!!!

Paul took the same band and added a new drummer...Blair Cunningham, drummer for other well known bands such as Haircut One Hundred & Echo & The Bunnymen...and got back into the studio and Off The Ground in 1993

Paul had George Martin come in for the epic track C'mon People, and it's amazing video was shot by Kevin Godley from 10CC fame.

This is a killer album for me. I really enjoyed this album to the fullest...there are SOOO many great songs on this. Really the entire thing smokes. It still brings back great memories and I find myself feeling good when I listen to it...OFTEN
