The irony is that people will be thinking "Yeah, the older, better rock bands are outselling those new, awful ones" or whatever along those lines and it's Whitney Houston who's jacking up those sales the most. :bonk: :heheh:

^^Similar to art collectors, they will spend ten times the amount a painting is worth after the artist dies Cosmic.

I've been slacking lately when it comes to new albums, but I'm doing my part to keep our 2nd hand vinyl shops afloat.:D

Great news, but I already knew that lol as they are better, I think I keep amazon afloat with what I order. I do however keep the only shop in chesterfield (HMV) in mind weekly and any place I visit I always search out a music shop (and pub) :)

^^You and Sox are "Platinum" members at Amazon from what I've heard Sweaty...:heheh:

I haven't ordered anything from Amazon for ages, but they are a good site.

I should use Amazon more often then I do actually. I am not that surprised older albums have outsold newer ones. I guess it depends on the specific genre too. Downloading might also be the cause of a dip in sales in the modern era as well.

I pretty much exclusively buy back catalogue. Amazon or most likely Play.com is where I get my stuff from.

The problem with Amazon is that it's too easy to purchase. I often buy music that I regret buying later. But then, I buy a lot of good music as well.

No surprise there guys after all all music made after the 1980s is by and large a re-hash of music and ideas from the 1960s & 70s that have been done before by other bands AND BETTER.

Currently listening to a lot of "classic" 1970s DEEP PURPLE and enjoying it guys!!.
