Sounds like he's sticking to his guns...but as with ALL/MOST bands, I'll believe it when I see it. Seems there's always a reason to come back and do "one more show"...or "some more recording".

I mean jeeez....besides Mick Mars' condition, it's not like they're all REAL old or anything. :bonk:

Whatever my opinion may be, the only bands I've seen quit and MEAN IT were The Ramones and The Beatles.

Motley Crue To Announce Farewell Tour Dates?

Motley Crue To Announce Farewell Tour Dates

Motley Crue will hold a special event on January 28 entitled "RIP: All Bad Things Must Come To An End," during which the band is expected to announce details of its farewell tour.

"I think we'll start the tour around May — I'm just kind of guessing on that, but in the spring of '14 — and we'll do one more time around the world and kinda call it quits," Vince Neil told Rolling Stone.

"It's just that time. We're going out on top. We don't want to be some band that people are like, 'Oh, they're playing a club now,' that kind of band. We still sell out arenas, have stadium stuff and things like that, so let's go out when it's a big deal."

Neil insisted that the band won't hold multiple farewell tours like some acts:

"There are some bands that are on their fifth and sixth farewell tour," he told KVVU Fox 5. "Nah, we're not gonna do that."

I saw them open for Ozzy on the Shout at the Devil tour, as well as headlining for Theater, Girls, and Dr Feelgood.

I can die happy knowing I saw every ounce of their glory years.

Still, it would have been cool to see their Vegas show

They opened for Maiden when I saw them in Germany. Shout tour. Either 83 or 84.

They've played here a lot over the last few years, guess they must like the support the fans here show them.

I sure hope it is a farewell tour and they don't do what the Who did and have endless retirement tours.

As far as bands doing club dates, it depends who they are we get all kinds of old 70's - 90's artists playing the club circuit here and they enjoy it and so do their fans. Sound is much better in a club setting than a stadium anyway.

Vince said they wouldn't have "numerous" farewell tours.

Only time will tell ;)
