Nipped over the Peak District two weeks ago to check out Micky Moody and the band .. turned out to be a really good night.

First up Tygers Of Pan Tang.
Robb Weir - guitar
Dean Robertson - guitar
Brian West - bass
Craig Ellis - drums
Jacopo Meille - vocals
They were on cracking form some superb guitar work from Robb and Dean and Jacopo was belting out some great vocals (terrific range). They played plenty of their old tunes much to the delight of the old audience (between 40 and 55 mostly.) :D

After the reset The Monsters Of British Rock.
Micky Moody - guitar, slide guitar, vocals
Neil Murray - bass
Laurie Wisefield - guitar, vocals
Harry James - drums, vocals
Chris Ousey - lead vocals
Michael Bramwell – keyboards

They eased in with a couple of old bluesy "Whitesnake" tunes which set the pace. Micky and Laurie trading smooth guitar licks. The band was as tight as a gnats chuff only to be expected really. Harry James and Neil Murray were solid and the drum solo was short and sweet but very clever. Chris Ousey has a real easy style and his voice has a good edge to it (not unlike Coverdale). Michael Bramwell's keyboard work filled out brilliantly. All in all a top night for £15.:cheers2

It was a top night MP.:grinthumb

I was Driving Lou so no ale only coffee infact before the show I was stood out side the little bar in the hallway near the stalls supping a cup when Robb Weir and Dean Robertson strolled by on their way to the merch table and commented, Robb said "Coffee Allround" and smiled with a nod,
Dean "Actually that's not a bad idea"

Not so very rock n roll but then it was thick with snow and freezing outside.
:cheers2
