Led Zeppelin II `69
Led Zeppelin III `70
Led Zeppelin IV `71
Houses of the Holy `73
Physical Graffiti `75

Houses of the Holy is my favorite!

Wow! I can't believe it's been that long. What a masterpiece.

A few gems from IV:

Going to California

When the Levee Breaks A monster of a song. Bonzo's drums were recorded in a stairwell, Plant on the harmonica.

The Battle of Evermore This song gets a lot of criticism for its corny lyrics but I like it, and I've always thought Plant and Denny's vocals complimented each other well.

You are a lucky man, Garrett. I came close on 6/21/77 at The Forum in Los Angeles. Youthful ignorance and a really, really bad case of the flu kept me home.

Awesome article, gcc. I like where he dished that the band often times got the "sloppy seconds" from the roadies. :heheh: I always heard their roadies were a raucous and crazy bunch, especially Bonzo's.

I also admire that he is foregoing the chance to make a lot of money by doing a tell-all book about the band because of his friendship with them, though I know a lot of us would love to hear the inside stories anyway. ;)

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Zeppelin IV, I listened to the full album on my turntable...

GOD I love Zeppelin.
