This one was fairly tough. Although Pete Townshend shouldn't really be on here. He's a great rhythm guitarist, one of the best, but he was never much into lead guitar/solos. I voted for Lifeson btw

every single one of these guys has "wowed" me in some way or another. Very tough to choose who I think is "the best" as they all have given something to the industry and every single one has been influential in some way or another to a slew of guitarists that came after them.

I'd like to give some love to Ace on this one, but as much as I have enjoyed his playing and songwriting over the years, I have go with Stevie Ray Vaughan. Not too many musicians have been able to give me goosebumps for 30+ years when I hear their playing. SRV is one of the very few that can. It is such a shame that we lost him in that tragic accident. He was truly one of the most talented guys to ever pick up a six-string. RIP SRV.

At the moment I'm listening a lot of Stevie Ray.So, that's my pick.
And I agree with everything Lynch said about Stevie.
