Rush but the early Kiss albums remain as some of the finest straight up hard rock albums in existence.

Rush is one of my all-time fave bands. KISS is probably my least fave American classic rock bands from the 70's.

Rush is vastly superior to the amateurish ( in comparison ) Kiss.
And while I do like Kiss this isn't even a contest ...

I just played Rush - Chronicles a few weeks back. Double CD. Found myself fast forwarding through both disks and there were very few songs that I could or would play all the way through. Musically, Rush has tons more talent than any member of Kiss. I'm a life-long Kiss fan and I'll readily admit that, however, the vocals in just about any Rush song suck. Geddy Lee's nasal delivery is like nails on a chalkboard to me. That's not to say that Gene Simmons is any sort of Pavarotti of rock music, but it's not so hard on my ears, not even close, to the stuff that Geddy does.,
