Re: Kamelot

Kamelot is a decent band. I've heard almost all of their albums.

I haven't listened to it yet but they have a new one that came out last year. Poetry for the Poisoned or something like that.

Re: Kamelot

Poetry is a grower, at least for me it was. Iced Earth lost Matt Barlow earlier this year, now Kamelot loses Roy Kahn...been a bad year for two of my favorite bands.

Fabio Lione from Rhapsody of Fire has been Kahn's touring replacement and from what I've seen he's doing a great job. However it appears that he would JOIN Kamelot if asked. With the recent reports of Alex and Luca's mutual split in Rhapsody Of Fire last month, who knows. :pullhair:

He fits the band very well...but I do miss Kahn and will miss Rhapsody Of Fire just as much.

Well, I love it! Kamelot lyrics are great, I like the style of the group and I think Khan [Roy, the former singer] is one of the few singers that I like. So of course we would consider it! But first we must finish the European and North American tour. Then, if they ask me, I would be very happy to join the band permanently. From the first time we met and we played together we had a very good feeling. Everything was easy and natural, as if we had known each other a lifetime and also the people we saw in South America or Europe said we did a tremendous concert. I'm happy for them and for the fans, so let's look at what lies ahead. Never say never.

Its been ages since I listened to Kamelot but I got Poetry for the Poisoned going at the moment. Reminds me I need to get more of this band.
I really like Hunter's Season.

I love Kamelot, but losing Roy Kahn is going to be a massive blow to the band. Similar to Barlow leaving Iced Earth for the second time, two of my favorite metal bands are going to have to find someone special to fill those extra large shoes.
