Re: Jethro Tull

I can see buying multiple vinyl LPs tracing a favoured artist's career, but being a dinosaur from aeons past I just can't see tracing an artist's career through individual CDs. As a result, I don't have any of Jethro Tull's CD only releases. With that in mind, would this CD be a good one for me to get to keep me appraised of what the fellows have been doing in the last twenty years?

Re: Jethro Tull

^^^Imo, that's an excellent compilation that both covers roughly 30 years worth of great, as well as many of their biggest hit songs. Other than going for a box set, the Anniversary Collection is an excellent choice. :cheers2

From February 2010

Legendary British Rock group Jethro Tull are to be honoured by the new PRS for Music Heritage Award.

A Musical Heritage Plaque will be erected at Holy Family Church, Blackpool where the original group (then known as The Blades), vocalist and flute work of Ian Anderson, bass guitarist Jeffrey Hammond and keyboardist (then drummer) John Evans performed their first ever gig in 1964.

Jethro Tull is the third band to be given the honour of receiving the permanent plaque.

Mine are to keep Tull firmly in the eyes of the buying public. But this last poll is most assuredly a dastardly and sordid attempt to besmirch the band we hold dear in our hearts.

It's about time they got some well deserved recognition.

Thanks for sharing that Jeffrey.:hab:
