No one's taking anyone elses opinions personal. I guess it's just as simple as it's the OP's choice who they want to put in the poll and we can choose to vote for who we do and don't want. :cheers2

Well...putting Madonna, Michael Jackson, Prince in the Rock N' Roll Hall of Fame is a joke....

And we have that joke already...

it's located in Cleveland, Ohio. :)

I'll agree with you in terms of that. Well, the first part anyway. I'd vote for them if it were different genres though. They're still good artists in my book. Can't say I get the reference to Cleveland, OH :heheh:

No...they'll be in there....right next to Culture Club. :heheh:

Then you should vote against them! :grinthumb I don't think anyone is annoyed by your thoughts on it Groovy. You're a classic rock dude through and through. I for one am more annoyed by the followers that chimed in. We should all have our own thoughts on here. :grinthumb

The list is basically taken directly from RNRHOF, which we might get to the point that we can't vote for KISS, Deep Purple or Rory Gallagher for example. Don't know, maybe it will happen, but the game won't last for long.

The list is just a list of artists that have made some dent on the national consciousness. Kiss and Deep Purple will absolutely be on the list when the time comes. Not sure why anyone would think they wouldn't. As long as people are participating, I will keep up with the game. That I promise. I get my lists from a great web site called futurerocklegends.com. Even then though I have to piece together people from multiple listings. I think anybody that someone will want to vote for will be on my lists. BUT if they are not, they can still be voted for as long as they meet the 25 year criteria. If I happen to miss someone, either vote for them anyway, or let me know and I will get them on the list.

You better add KISS or Rory Gallagher. They have huge followings on here. ;)

The point that The Beatles would not be considered for a Disco Hall of Fame, etc., is a good and wry observation.

However, Rock as apposed to other genres, is almost defined by its mongrel nature. By intention, Rock is about blurring the lines.

Rock is a mutt. A wonderful wild slobbering mutt.

And it's as much about an certain attitude, feel, and mindset, as it is about a recognizable rhythmic pattern.

But then some folks are stuck in '75. If it doesn't sound like BTO then it's not rock. What can you do?
