Seems to me CT does a lot of opening slots and package tours which in a way is too bad because like Fever said they only get to do such a short set.

As I mentioned before I think we get the odd CT headline show in my neck of the woods more often than other places since Robin Zander lives around here although I haven't taken advantage as much as I should have!

I must have got them on a bad night..because they weren't at their best last September..super late, unprepared and just looked terrible..

sounded ok ..not great..

They have always been really good live..and I don't give up on them// but they DID let me down..they were just off that night..

Sure, I'm not underplaying your bad experience. Concert tickets are very expensive and you have every right to expect a quality show. Firmly believe that even where a band is feeling a little off they should pull it out of the bag anyway: always a 14 year kid in the audience who's been saving for months to see his idols.

I was under the impression that Bun E. had a bad back or something which stopped him from touring, but was still a member of the band?

Cheap Trick put out albums pretty regular so I'm very surprised to hear that they don't write and he doesn't think they'll be recording anytime soon.

The 3 Cheap Trick live experiences I've had have been incredible. Bristol in 2011 was verging on Biblical, one of the best shows I've ever seen.
