This is the headline of an article on MTV News

Miley Cyrus Calls 'Every Rose Has Its Thorn' Cover A 'Rad Collaboration'

and this is the article:

So whether you like Poison or hate Poison either way this is disturbing! Sorry guys! :lmao:

p.s. In similar news Carrie Underwood covered Home Sweet Home by Motley Crue this past year!

Carrie Underwood-Home Sweet Home

and Paradise City was done in a collaboration with Slash, Fergie and Cypress Hill (which I thought was actually decent)!

Slash ft. Fergie and Cypress Hill-Paradise City

I wasn't aware that Carrie Underwood had cover "Home Sweet Home". I think Kelly Clarkson did for American Idol or something and I thought she did an awful job. In either case I know that Carrie Underwood has a tendency to cover 80's hard rock live (usually Guns N' Roses) and that just leaves a bad, country tinged, taste in my mouth. =/

Agree about that version of "Paradise City". Cypress Hill actually collaborated with Slash (I think for Velvet Revolver) to cover that song on at least one other occasion live and that version.....was awful. As much as I might not want to admit it Fergie is a big reason why I actually like that version because I thought she did a pretty good job.

Actually Fergie can "ROCK". I saw her on the 25th Aniversary Hall of Fame concert, she performed with Mick Jagger and Bono, and they rocked the place!

I'm not going to begrudge any of today's "pop" stars for covering music from 20 years ago. Afterall, they're just trying to make a living. And, for the most part, it's not like they can write their own lyrics or compose their own music. I mean if they can, they're certainly not doing a very good job at it. :heheh:

But back to my opening statement, there were plenty of artists in the 70's (e.g. Linda Ronstadt, The Rolling Stones) who covered material from the 50's so this really isn't anything new. They just did a better job of it back then.

And who was it that recently covered Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide"? Oh my God! Gag me with a spoon! Barf out! :D

Yes, we've certainly hit a dead point in music.... and everything else in my opinion, but thats for another time or arguement:heheh:

it was Dixie Chicks in 2002ish, and Smashing Pumpkins in 1994 or 95, I don't really like SP's, but Dixie Chicks is fairly awful...really lifeless

If Fergie would go Metal, I would listen to her. She has that deepness to her voice that would make a good female metal vocalist. You wont catch me spending a dime on her pop crap, though.

And I am sorry but turning a Motley Crue song into a country ballad sux. I am a country fan, and this song was terrible. Carrie Underwood is trying to grasp at the rock fans, which wont happen.

Oh god I heard about this. I really don't want her to re-make this song. She'll make it sound TERRIBLE!

How about Celine doin' AC/DC??

I much rather prefer Hayseed Dixie doing AC/DC rather than Celine - even if she's a cute babe! :bonk:
