^^^The last I heard, Ray Davies was mostly involved with doing his one-man show tour. Although I think many of the songs he was playing were Kinks material.

OT:
I think it would be pretty difficult to be in mostly one band for many years, probably more so within the same one for over 30, and still be able to get along with other band members, especially with the worldwide touring. That also may well be even more difficult with trying to do that if you don't get along with an eccentric, aloof fellow that is also your brother, too!

Well it seems like Ray is O.K. as he has an album out. I know because Billy Corgan has some contribution. Hell he has quite the guest list!

I don't eithers rep or whether Ray even really wants to do a reunion but usually when I see one artist still creating and the other whining I side with the one moving on and creating! :D

^^I am not sure where you are getting the "whining" bit from Sooty...

Ray Davies is a pig, and has offended pretty much anyone who was in his sphere of influence over the years. Is he talented?...definitely but his best days are far behind him, and his insufferable arrogance puts me off and always has.

As far as his brother, he was asked about a reunion and I felt his short narrative of what should have been a normal fun birthday celebration sums it all up in a nutshell. As I said if my brothers did that to me at my birthday..."It's On!" And it's not likely anyone is going to forget that incident either.

Looks like Dave Davies is reconsidering.

If I was a betting man, I would say six new tracks. at least two written
by Dave, and a few select shows to be edited into a DVD concert film.
I dont think their health or emotions can stand a 18 city world tour or
grueling recording sessions with 30 new songs..

but the money and last chance to reunite one of the great bands has to
be too good to pass up entirely.
