I'm not sure--I'm guessing 1200-1400 vinyl albums and 900-1000 CDs.

Hey everyone I'm new here, and thought this would be a good thread to introduce myself. I'm also on musiciansforum under the same name, and Deadhook forums under the name jerryweir if anyone else visits those forums.

To add to the discussion I probably own about 350 CDs, and about 1500 vinyls.

I have about 200 Greatest Hits CDs including box sets as well as about 50 LPs I too embarassed to admit I have.

Net Value: approx 6000 $
Enough To buy a cheap car.
I not trying to boast. I'm just interested in what other people have.

I can't believe you managed to rank your albums in order of preference! That would be a task well beyond my capabilities.

At this point I've got about 6,000 plus CDs. No idea what the exact count is as I don't have all of them entered into my database and I am not going into specifics either. I cover most genres but the bulk of it is in rock.

How do you people with thousands of LPs/CDs file them all though so that they are quickly accessible? What kind of shelving/storage system do you have?

:wtf:

My music is in piles all over the house. I threaten to sort it out, but haven't yet. I began digitizing my albums a year or so ago, but the Ion turntable system started having distortion issues. Plus it records in real time. The most organized are my hundreds of cassette tapes. They sound really good on the used Sony deck I bought for $25 at a local pawn shop.
