Here is a song not heard by many. It was from the Japanese issue of the Brigade album

I recently read an article, where Nancy said she and Ann are writing new music!
I'm very happy about that! It's since Fanatic (which I LOVED) that they did not publish new, original, material.
And it seems that it will sound like the things they created in the 70ies...

I hope it won't take too long the birth of this album, I'm very curious about it.

Here the article I read:

I heard of Heart and the Wilson sisters years ago maybe even decades ago but I never bothered to check them out until about a year ago when I picked up that album with Little Queen on it and also a double-best of cd and to be honest there earlier stuff from the mid/late 1970s is not bad to listen to and they obviously liked and listened to Led Zeppelin in there later teenage years doing a cover of Stairway To Heaven as a bonus track.

Well, like I've written in my introduction thread, I'm a huge fan of this band.
I prefer the music they've done from the start till Bebe la Strange.
Then, I've appreciated some songs in the other albums, but not a whole album.
It was years I didn't listen to them, but recently I've rediscovered their music... and I'd say that I'm loving them now more than before.
Unfortunately here in my country (Italy) they are quite unknown... but I try to do all that I can to spread their music.

I've written that after Bebe la Strange there weren't albums that I entirely liked.
Yes, this has been true till the release of Fanatic. I really like this album. I think it's fresh and inventive, like if it was made by two youngsters instead of two great ladies in their sixties. I love its lyrics, its guitars and drums. A good job indeed. And Ann's voice sounds great!
Her performance in Mashallah, Dear Old America and Skin & Bones is outstanding.

I only hope that they'll come back in Europe for a tour... (Italy included)
(and I hope that they'll make as soon as possible another album after Fanatic)

Mashallah

Beautiful Broken

I quite like this album as well. Here is a clip of Mashallah live when I saw Heart live in Houston shortly before Fanatic's release. I didn't make this recording, but I was in the floor crowd in front of Nancy. Needless to say, this song was LOUD live, and this is Ann's best live performance of this song that I've seen -- she absolutely kills all the high notes. You can also tell she was excited to be playing new music:
