Supernatural for me. That record was a revelation. Not only one of the biggest comebacks in music history, but it showed Santana really branching out to modern audiences.

A lot of Classic Rock artists were happy to try and chase the charts in the 70s with disco, in the 80s with funk, and in the early 90s with alternative. But Santana's really the only one to stand up and remain relevant to modern music at the turn of the century and I deeply respect that. Artists like Neil Young and Tom Petty could easily be back on top with indie rock records today but they've kind of given up and followed pet projects instead, which is perfectly fine (some of Petty's latest albums are his best), but it would also be cool to see them dominating stadiums again and going out in style like Roy Orbison was able to.

I think I have maybe 7 or 8 Santana albums, mostly from the 70's and 80's, and I love them all, though for me they never bettered the first album from 1969 - when I first heard 'Soul Sacrifice' I couldn't believe me ears, and it opened me up to a whole new world of music, never dabbled in 'latin rock' before -

Also love the Sacred Fire album Live in South America.

I have to say Caravanserai but Abraxas is a very close second
