As I mentioned in one of my previous posts, and people who know me at all over the past few years on other board(s) know that Waylon is my all-time favorite country musician / singer. I grew up on Waylon like most kids grew up drinking milk from a bottle. It's in my blood, always has been and always will be. Waylon's music has played a HUGE part of my life and lives on in memories of mine with eternal thanks to my parents, particularly my father. There wasn't a hunting trip or a fishing trip I ever went on that we didn't have Waylon along right there with us. I felll in love with his music, particularly the "outlaw" stuff of the 70's and into the 80's, but I like a great deal of it. I also have a tremendous amount of respect for how he stood up to the corporate nashville music "machine" and the way they were doing things in country music at the time.
Anyway, enough jibber-jabber... here's a few of my favorites by my alltime favorite.
Waylon - Honky Tonk Heroes
Waylon - If You See Me Getting Smaller*
* Unfortunately, the ending is cut off by probably about 30 seconds (all music outro), but I can't find a better version anywhere
Waylon - Rainy Day Woman
Waylon - Don't You Think This Outlaw Bit's Done Got Out of Hand
(btw, James Hetfield (Metallica) even did a remake of this after Waylon died)
(More on this subject later when I have some time)
and Lynch, I can get into some Waylon, in moderation, I really like him, but too much will ruin it for me, I'm not really fond of most of Willy's music, I do like Willie and Waylon together though, Waylon and Willie make a good team
