My favorite of the 90's was Crowded House/Neil Finn. I also liked k.d. lang, PFR, The Newsboys, Jars Of Clay, Sixpence None The Richer, and probably a bunch of others that I'm not thinking of as I sit here. I'll maybe make this a work in progress.

I remember Jars of Clay. I really liked them. K.D. Lang was pretty popular with me too. Love her voice!

for the first half of the decade it would have been the red hot chili peppers but for the second half it was most definitely soundgarden by a very long shot.

I think Nirvana is the best band of 90's. Also good are Oasis, Rdiohead...

England - The birth of great music! Specifically B
Nirvana were the last truly great band for me, and everything has sounded quite pale to me since. Still, the nineties were a helluvan (see what I did there?) improvement on the eighties:

Oasis - Definately Maybe
Pearl Jam - Ten
Radiohead - Ok Computer
Happy Mondays - Pills Thrills And Bellyaches
and
Red Hot Chilli Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magik
were all classic albums. there are mire that I haven't heard such as Smashing Pumpkins and Rage Against The Machine that I plan to buy. Nirvana are far and away the best, but there was great music made last decade.

I could probably say They Might Be Giants too, even though they started in the '80s.
