I like the new album @Magic and @Sanguine Remedy. A great improvement but not innovative like the Dream Theater of old. Have listened to it a few times now.

This is absolutely brilliant news. Mike Mangini is technically as good a drummer and he did a sterling job but DT lacked the spark that MP bought to it. Can't wait for the new album to see if they still have that old magic.

I must admit I've enjoyed the Mangini era albums including the perhaps overbloated The Astonishing but this will be their first Portnoy album since I've been a DT fan so I am actually pretty excited to hear how this one will sound.

I have high hopes for the band again. Their last great album was still with Mike - Black Clouds and Silver Linings.

The only thing astonishing about The Astonishing, is that they actually released it. It was a ridiculously expensive album to import and it's only been played a few times.
