Kind of surprising she didn't make the cut Fever, oh well she can still get together with her Dad and play.

Re: The Official Doobie Brothers Thread

I have about 4 or 5 albums by them but I pretty much stick to the greatest hits vol. 1 & 2.

Tom Johnston looks in fine form, miss "Skunk" and Tiran Porter, wonder if they are both still okay...:think:

Jeff "Skunk" Baxter (born December 13, 1948 in Washington, D.C.) is an American guitarist, known for his stints in the rock bands Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers during the 1970s. More recently, he has been working as a defense consultant and chairs a Congressional Advisory Board on missile defense.

Knock me over with a feather! A rock musician becomes a military advisor?:oyea:

But if you read the entire article, it starts to make sense....I guess.

Love the Doobies btw. Got to see them about 6 years ago. Front row tickets. Awesome show in a smaller venue. The wife and I scored two drumsticks, a pick and Tom Johnston, Patrick Simmons autographs. Very fun night.:grinthumb

They didn't play this though::confused:

Here's the official video from the latest album, ''World Gone Crazy'' and the remake of ''Nobody''....

some great clips from the old days in this video...

Amazing how they make a song from 1972 sound more like classic Doobies than it did originally.

One of their best "unknown" songs along with:

Oddly enough, by the time I started listening to radio, it was already the Michael McDonald era, and I remember some of those songs fondly, but I think the classic era is far better.

I saw the Doobies at a summerfest concert about 10 years ago, and they put on a full length show that was incredible.
