Graham Nash has announced the end of Crosby, Stills & Nash. In a new interview, he says that he has had enough of being treated badly by David Crosby.

According to a translation by Classic Rock, Nash told the Dutch magazine Lust for Life, “You asked me if there’s more of CSN? My answer is ‘no,’ and that’s very sad, because we’re pretty good. But I don’t like David Crosby right now. He’s been awful to me these last two years, just f—ing awful.”

Formed in 1968 by former members of the Byrds (Crosby), the Hollies (Nash) and Buffalo Springfield (Stephen Stills), CSN made an immediate splash with their debut album. But the beautiful harmonies found within the grooves covered the personal problems its members have had with each other, and the chemistry was even more volatile on those occasions when Neil Young entered the mix. Nash, who added that he and Crosby got into a fight onstage last year, alluded to their long-standing issues in discussing their split.

“I’ve been there and saved his f—ing ass for 45 years,” he continued, “and he treated me like s—. You can’t do that to me. You can do it for a day or so, until I think you’re going to come round. But when it goes on longer, and I keep getting nasty emails from him, I’m done. F— you.”

In September 2014, Crosby fought with Young, saying that Young’s new girlfriend, actress Daryl Hannah, was a “purely poisonous predator.” Crosby eventually apologized, but not before Young said would never tour with them again.

Never say never with this group. I mean Crosby once said that Crazy Horse should have been shot dead in their cribs as babies. They've gotten through worse before.

But it's pretty worrying that Crosby has been burning so many bridges lately. I wonder what's up with him.

Ugh, always the drama with Crosby, Stills, Nash and yes, even Young. I love, love their music, and when they are "on" there aren't many groups better so it saddens me to think of the music that "might have been" yet never will be due to all of their issues. Time we have wasted on the way, indeed.
Just for a little perspective, they've put out only 8 studio albums since 1968-the last in 1999, but 6 "best of" compilations and 5 live albums...
