I love 'Disco Strangler' and its probably my favorite song on that record. I had it on a 45 (b-side to the Long Run I believe) and found that I really dug that tune. Great guitar riff and cool drums. I like it.

Disco Strangler is far better than I Can't Tell You Why :grinthumb

I like the Eagles but nothing by Timothy B.Schmit.Randy Meisner was far better.

I Can't Tell You Why is a bit meh (it was though only one of the few songs on the album that came from an idea instead of sheer desperation), but the outro guitar solo is beautiful and probably the second most creative after Hotel California. It was also played by Glenn Frey, as opposed to Joe Walsh or (as he did in concerts) Don Felder.

I will take Take It To Limit with Meisner on lead vocals

I thought of another one. I can't stand Oasis. I heard so much good stuff about them at the time and people told me if I liked the Beatles, I would love Oasis. Not so. I picked up a couple CD's from them (Definitely Maybe and Whats The Story Morning Glory) and hated both of them. I listened to those two CD's at least 20 times a piece and I just could not get into them. I ended up trading them to a friend for a BJ Thomas Greatest Hits CD and I made out for the better.
I like 3 songs by Oasis and I do agree, they are overrated.

* I think some of the early led zeppelin material is badly produced engineered or mixed.the songs are great but audio wise I don't know what page was doing, other albums from that era sound Crisp and clean.like sticky fingers etc.
* I find the dave vs sammy thing absolutely boring and a load of crap! I think both eras of the band are completely brilliant.
* I think yes regressed after Rabin left. Tomato through to talk the band was progressing trying new stuff. But by the 90s had decided to stick to their 70s era progressive rock sound.
* dire straits on every street was just mark knopler trying to duplicate brothers in arms
* adrenalize was just def leppard trying duplicate hysteria
* I don't understand why bands like yes!toto, still record albums they are never going to satisfy anyone but hardcore fans. Add Asia to that as well
* I think the Beatles were pussified by Martin and McCartney. They had many moments of brilliance, but a lot of childish and middle of the road songs make listening to there albums hard.
* mick jagger and gene Simmons are just sleazy old men
* I find stairway to heaven boring nowadays!Kashmir still sparks my interest.
* I heard a random Bon Scott era song today. And it blew the socks off anything they I'd with Johnson.and that justified that ac/dc have been crap since 1981.

Agreed with the whole Dave v Sammy thing. The whole thing is as annoying and childish as the Megadeth v Metallica argument. People who do any of this I consider to be morons.

Speaking of Van Halen, my unpopular opinion would be I didn't like A Different Kind of Truth all that much.

^^Not their greatest album but better than I expected all things considered.

Oasis...not a fan although I do like some other Brit-pop bands but it will never be my favorite genre.
