I really love Pray For Rain too. I wish they had stayed together. :(

Have you listened to Anberlin! They are my all time favorite Christian Rock band. They have one of the best vocalist in rock period. This will be their last year as a band but they have an amazing body of work. :grinthumb

I'm not as familiar with them as I am Switchfoot, but they are supposed to tour one more time before they dissolve. (I hate that) :uh:

How Many Kings~Downhere

The lead singer of this band Marc Martel, won the right to be in the Queen tribute band, which was picked by former Queen members. :grinthumb

There's a lot of great Christian worship music out there, I haven't listened to much Christian rock, but my wife plays and sings a lot of older music in the genre, mainly because that's what she has sheet music for having been a church organist for 25 years.
Classical Crossover artists such as Hayley Westenra and Katherine Jenkins have been very successful in increasing the popularity of this music.

There is a whole genre full of great Christian Rock bands singing wonderful songs, but I enjoy finding a song by a good old Classic Rock band with a message.

Guiding Light - The Little River Band

I've changed my mind,
Things don't really seem so bad this time,
I've learned my lesson though it hurt my pride.

So on we go,
Crazy rockin' rollin' rodeo,
I need you more now than I did before.
Changing my point of view is teaching me something new

Guiding light I need you here tonight,
I'm walking in the dark alone,
Close the door, a thousand years or more,
Until my guiding light comes shining through.

Morning star how you found me wandering near and far,
This wounded memory wears like a scar.
They all say time will heal,
But they don't know how I feel

Guiding light I need you here tonight,
I'm walking in the dark alone,
Close the door, a thousand years or more,
Until my guiding light comes shining through.
Comes shining through, shining through, comes shining through

Lord is it Mine (Orchestra version) performed by Roger Hodgson

I know that there's a reason why I need to be alone
You shown me there's a silent place that I can call my own
Is it mine, oh Lord, is it mine?

You know I get so weary from the battles in this life
And as many times it seems that you're the only hope in sight
Is it mine, oh Lord, is it mine?

When everything's dark
And nothing seems right
There's nothing to win
And there's no need to fight

I never cease to wonder at the cruelty of this land
But it seems a time of sadness is a time to understand
Is it mine, oh Lord, is it mine?

When everything's dark
And nothing seems right
You don't have to win
And there's no need to fight

If only I could find a way to feel your sweetness through the day
The love that shines around me could be mine

So give us an answer, won't you
We know what we have to do
There must be a thousand voices
Trying to get through
