"Chinese Democracy" isn't the worst album ever made...

I know a lot of people like it but I say Rough Cutt's debut LP. It's so Spinal Tap, man. Sample lyric from one of the tracks (Black Widow): "She's a Black Widow, A Widow of the Web, Black Widow. The Widow must be fed". I love cock rock and Crue, Ratt, Danger Danger et al were my thing in my younger years but that first Rough Cutt album has not a hint of irony.

Actually, it's worth getting just for the fun factor as it makes Steel Panther sound like Dream Theater!

No album will ever match the Monumental underwhelming status of Axl Rose's solo album for my money.:nw:

Everyone knows how I feel about him using G 'n R for Chinese Democracy.

I haven't heard Superheavy yet...but my expectations wouldn't be high. I can't honestly remember any solo Jagger album I thought was worth buying.:dunno:

Chinese had 3 or 4 songs I liked, I tried my utmost to like the rest of the album. Said I gave it a chance which I did but I only like a couple of songs. In terms of bad albums for me personally St Anger ranks a lot worse then this. To be honest I doubt even if Guns n Roses wasn't on the album name the album would have gone any better, I think it was a flawed album to the extreme no matter who would have put it out.

^^15 years in the making Riff...no other album can stand on that scale against how mediocre Axl's solo album truly is.:nw:

That is the deciding factor for me, if he came out with something like "Beethoven's 9th" then I would understand the delay.

The Gods witnessed our discussion and saw fit to alleviate these humble records. They may not be great, but they have been granted a reprieve, as the mysterious forces behind nature have delivered Lu Lu.

Nicely said AAG...

Lulu while indeed horrid still will not supplant Axl's record for me anyway.

Chinese Democracy was easy to forget. Lulu on the other hand produced a band made table. Ironic how some of these albums are so bad they are memorable for the wrong reasons when you would think people would just easily forget about them. :heheh:

You have to give Lulu some credit...No other album has the same ability to unite such a diverse group of people.

I mean, EVERYONE hated it...Lou Reed fans, Metallica fans, people that like both, people that like neither, punks, metal-heads, classic rockers...Everyone from across the spectrum really came together to bash that thing.
