They seem to think that the more an artist pushes the collective mind-set the more 'relevant' they are!

Not sure we are supposed to discuss politics, but I had two lady music crushes back in the day. Agnetha from Abba (the uncool choice), and the cool choice... and my favorite.... Stevie Nicks circa '78-'79. I had her hot sweaty poster on my dorm room wall.

I thought Grace Slick and Carly Simon were 'hot' in the old days....Debbi Harry later....Susanna Hoffs from The Bangles.
I dont really pay attention to politics when getting into a bands music unless the lyrics are obnoxious. For me its about the style of music.

Francoise Hardy in the pop world,Lita Ford I always considered as hot....I had a soft spot for Linda McCartney also.
Artists political leanings have always effected my listening and purchasing . Especially over the last few years . I've burned several albums by artists in my field here,Rod Stewart being the most combustible over his woke crap comments.

There have been some incredibly hot female artists over the years. For me Pat Benetar and Kate Bush topped the list in their day.
Regarding political persuasion, there are artists that I find repulsive for their political beliefs, even though their music may be brilliant. I would politely say that their personalities get in the way of my musical enjoyment.

As for the other question, yeah, if I can't listen to their music without gagging bc I'm thinking they're a total douchenozzle, sure. Mostly it doesn't affect anyone I already didn't listen to bc their music sucks (Ted Nugent? Kid Rock? Seriously), but I used to love Cream and The Smiths. Now I can't listen to em. (Eric Crapton has always sucked tho, so Cream was as close as I ever got to liking anything he's done.)
