Hey guys, I'm just a cheerleader in this little adventure of yours, but I thought I'd share this video that was sent to me. It's a group of musicians that are all in different locations (similar to the idea going on here) who did a remake of Kansas - Hold On. I think they did a hell of a job for not being together to record it.

Figured I'd share, if looking for ideas on what sort of thing to do:

I'm in if you'll have me. I've got friends who rap who have pretty good recording equipment. Seems there is an abundance of guitar players. Could turn into an extended jam to accomadate everyone. Something along the lines of Going Down or any blues standard could be cool.

yep, I was thinking of doing more than one song to accommodate everyone and their tastes/talents

What's the latest?

Oh damn.. I kind of forgot about this:bonk::heheh:

I guess we could pick a song or write something up that would be cool to jam on and make that our starting point... Just do something simple like EADA do a little turnaround at B, in 4/4... just have everyone jam on that for a while... umm.. just to see it if works I guess?

umm.. if someone wants to record a drum and/or bass track to get the ball rolling, if not we can just use a loop for drums... umm.. wow.. completely forgot about this...

Yeah someone needs to throw together a rhythm track and we could all put something over it. Bounce ideas off each other and maybe something will take shape.

I'll throw together a drum loop and do bass over it, just something very simple, and see what happens with that, I'll have it up tuesday night or wednesday morning:grinthumb

Hey Eberg, I am ready to get down. I can put guitar, bass, drums, vocals, keys, and even some sitar tracks down. What kind format of recording do you want to use. I also am decent at mixing, I mean I mix all my songs. So what kind of stlye what you like to do? Keep me posted because I am ready to rock

messaged you, I'll just post it here too

drums and vocals would be the most needed, but bass would be awesome if you wanted to play it too

I'll send clip of the guitar part to the song I was thinking of using, it probably won't be on time or good, but just to give a general idea of what so we can lay down I'm thinking drums, rhythm guitar(s), bass, vocals, lead guitar, and whatever else.. that would seem like the ideal order
