I've still got 2 or 3 CACTUS cds but havan't listened to them since the mid-1990s. The bands vocalist who was called 'Rusty' was unfortunately murdered at his home back around 1980 i believe??.

I have the first three LPs on vinyl that feature Jim McCarty.
A couple of weeks ago I was researching Jeff Beck and found out that he and Rod Stewart were in the original line-up. But, Beck got into a car accident and Stewart joined the Faces.
Then Jim McCarty was brought in from The Buddy Mills Express.

Check this band out featuring, Carmine Appice, Tim Bogert, Rusty Day And Jim McCarty, would have had Jeff Beck and Rod Stewart in the band if things had been different. What a great blues sound and some steaming Guitars.

I hadnt ever heard of them and I found thier 1st album @ salvation army one day and got it....... ITS SUPER!
