Currently reading this -

It's a very open and honest autobiography right from his childhood in Birmingham. I'm currently up to the mid-'70s. It's hilarious in parts. eg - Ozzy came back from The States after a tour in a bit of a mess because of drink and drugs (no change there then :gig) so he booked himself into a mental institution in Stafford for treatment. First question from the doctor - "Do you masturbate Mr Osbourne?". Ozzy - "I'm in here for my f*ckin head, not my cock".

:gig Is this actually written by Ozzy? I can't imagine him writing a book at all, but would love to read it if it is!

I agree - there's no way Ozzy could write a book. The credit at the front states 'Ozzy Osbourne with Chris Ayres'. I would say Ayres has probably written the book from taped interviews etc. If that is the case he has done a great job as it comes over as Ozzy himself. I am just approaching the period when I actually knew him. I'm pretty sure the pub will get a mention :gig

The pub is 'The Red Lion' in a village called Sutton on the Shropshire/Staffordshire border. He gave the gold or platinum disc for (I'm not sure - long time ago) either 'Black Sabbath' or 'Paranoid' to the landlord. It was on the wall in the pub.

These two will appeal to vinyl lovers. Great coffee table books with awesome stories.

Nice :)

Shame it isn't more central, I go to Birmingham every year in December. Would have loved to visit Ozzy's old local for a pint :cheers2
