Blood, Sweat, & Tears

A 60's group , not 70's, that deserve recognition. They had one of the all time fine Horn sections and featured the great singer David Clayton Thomas.

Starting from their Grammy winning self titled LP in 1969,how long did David Clayton Thomas hang on as lead singer.I know he didn't appear on "Child Is Father To the Man",a wonderful forgotten masterpiece.......

One of my favorite bands. They stand out for their heritage with jazz.

On Youtube, there's this interesting video which tells about their eastern european tour probably in 1970; unfortunately the audio isn't good, but it has a great value.
I've to tell that I was touched thinking to the great Lew Soloff dead in 2015. :uh:

Beautiful gem from Tom Jones Tv Show featuring the musicians of the great second album Blood, Sweat & Tears (Fred Lipsius, Bobby Colomby, David Clayton Thomas etc. ):

M edit, dead video removed

I do say this often but Blood, Sweat, and Tears is another classic group that I heard from time to time on my parents AM radio and occasional eight track tape driving the country in a repainted, four door, 69 Chevy on summer vacations. Those radio hits are just great. I of course have a “greatest hits” cd and a few of their songs on a few Spotify playlists. I’m sure I have listened to a few of their albums in their entirety but again I am satisfied with just a solid compilation album.
However I am inspired and tomorrow I will listen through their discography again throughout my work day.
