Re: The Black Crowes

Black Crowes Setlist from last night in Toronto @ Massey Hall

- acoustic set -
JEALOUS AGAIN
HOTEL ILLNESS
SOUL SINGING
LAST PLACE THAT LOVE LIVES
THORN IN MY PRIDE
WHAT IS HOME
DO RIGHT WOMAN
WHOA MULE
SHE TALKS TO ANGELS
MY MORNING SONG

- electric set -
(ONLY) HALFWAY TO EVERYWHERE
I AIN’T HIDING
HIGH HEAD BLUES
BALLAD IN URGENCY ->
WISER TIME
DARLING OF THE UNDERGROUND PRESS
OH JOSEPHINE
HARD TO HANDLE
REMEDY
NO SPEAK NO SLAVE
- encore -
OH SWEET NUTHIN

3hr setlist 1/2 acoustic and 1/2 electric. Great show! They continue to leave me wanting more and more everytime I see them. Tonights show was very much like a Grateful Dead/Allman Brothers show...jam after Jam. I've said it before and I will say it again Luther is an amazing slide guitar player and really adds alot to this already dynamic group. Really enjoyed the entire show, but the electric setlist was dominating and rock n roll at its purest level. I aint hiding was absolutley awesome with tons of energy and I also enjoyed the last song - Oh Sweet Nuthin (Velvet Underground Cover), I seriously cannot get this song out of my head!!! Great groove and all kinds of musicianship from everyone involved especially Rich & Luther (Can't help it I play guitar). Gorman was once again the driving beat behind this great cosmic band and is without a doubt one of the most underrated drummers in the league!!

Re: The Black Crowes

Shake Your Moneymaker seems to be the most popular album, but to be totally honest Amorica is pretty damn good, too.

Love that album and to be quite honest Shake Your money maker is a good album but probably my least favourite...I really like the most recent album before the frost and until the freeze much much better....

A powerful band....often underrated which is what happens to 90% of the valid bands out there :):)
