Yeah baby! KISS getting their groove back. This is a very underrated rock album.

They got back to what they did best. Play straight rock.

This is easily my favorite KISS album from the 80s. Stands to reason, though. It's the only one I bought. They started getting too Duran Duran/Pat Benatar/Police looking with the post apolalyptic rags and and torn tees.

Anyhow, I chose Saint and Sinner over Danger, but it was really close.

Saint and Sinner has a great big drum sound, a really cool lead solo, and a stripped down sound that was just right for this song.

Danger, though, has Paul Stanley's best and most commanding vocal performance since Love Gun. He soars through it.

One of the best albums the band ever put out IMHO. And in my opinion is one of the top 2 of the 80's and beyond (for studio work).

My first though is to go for Rock And Roll Hell. I do listen to this album on a regular basis so it's not as if I really need to go back and listen to it all again to decide. RnRH has long been one of my "underground" favorites from the band. A song that most people (outside of diehard fans) even know or have heard.

Another song that I truly love is Stanley's ballad, I Still Love You. Man, his vocals are SPOT ON on that track.

I Love It Loud is almost worthy of ~anthem~ status and as much as I like it, I can't say it's anything more than that. A crank it up and bob your head and fists in the air along with everyone else in the room sort of tune. Not that there's anything wrong with that. :D

War Machine, Saint and Sinner, Danger and of course the RIPPING title track are all worthy. I absolutely love Eric Carr's drumming on this album. The various guitarists that play on this album kick ass. This is the hardest and heaviest album the band did in the 80's (although Lick It Up is close).

Tough call.. I WILL listen to this album a couple of times over the next couple of days and make a final decision.

Good stuff man.. 10/10 for this album.
