Sad to hear about Robin Gibb! I don't think it was too unexpected, but sad just the same.
In memory of Robin (and preceeded by Maurice and Andy) ... the music that you and your brothers gave us has been a part of my life for 35+ years. I am glad to have known the music and seen, read about and heard the personalities.
Going through a few Bee Gees tracks right now. I've got some very fond memories of a number of their hits from the 70's.
This one in particular will always remind me of brighter days, back in the early 90's. This was a song that I used to sing with a friend of mine and my future wife at Karaoke. We won a number of karaoke contests with a few Bee Gees songs that we sang together, but this was one of our two signature songs when we sang together as a 'group'.
How Deep Is Your Love
This is pretty cool, a vid of them doing the song live back in '89.
They dedicated it to their brother Andy.
now it's been quite a few days now that Robin leaved planet earth... so i think i digested the news by now... and i have re-listen one hour ago to the whole album "Horizontal" it's my favourite Bee Gees album (with "Trafalgar") and it was made nearly 45 years ago... great album... 11 excellent songs and just one that i don't really appreciate (harry braff) ...
I think... their disco days are just like some few big trees who hide a beautiful and enchanted forest behind...
