Van Halen
Metallica
Ozzy/Sabbath
Ozzy has a really unfair advantage in that he got to play with Randy Rhoads, Jake E Lee and Zakk Wylde, all 3 being absolute STARS as far as guitar players go, then add in the grandfather of heavy metal in Toni Iommi (yeah I know more riff-oriented but still some great early metal solos).
Kirk Hammett is an incredible guitar player and without him, I don't know how far Metallica would have gone. Definitely one of the best soloists ever (IMHO).
Van Halen... goes without saying. Eddie was in a league by himself for many years. one of the most innovative and unique guitar players of the modern age. Both in solos and throughout the songs.
