Seeing this thread is moving right along here's the next album simply titled "BTO II", what the name lacks in imagination the album makes up for and then some. Everyone knows the two massive hits from this album, so I'll post a different one.

This also marked the departure of Tim Bachman from the band, he wanted to be home with his family and life on the road was taking it's toll.

He does indeed! It is a great song, that wasn't mainstream! I love the southern style, almost swamp music, of Sledgehammer.

That was my Mom's favorite song MP...she played it over and over. When I first played II, it took a couple of spins on the old turntable before I really caught on to it. I am so glad I have the CD now,,,it's going to be a BTO concert after dinner tonight...

I checked out their webpage a couple of years ago and it seems they've been touring off and on over the years, but without Randy who apparently reunited with Burt Cummings and formed Bachman-Cummings a few years ago.

Your mom sounds cool. I think what was lost on a lot of parents was that, for as loud as they played, they were also Mormon and didn't smoke or drink.
