If I had to pick a favorite song (and there are several to choose from), I'd have to pick "It's Over".

Fred's vocals never sounded as good and somebody's guitar has the sweetest note to it. Not sure if it's Randy or Blair. Outstanding solo and melodies throughout.

Probably Randy though, as Blair was rhythm.

hmm... I forgot to pick a favorite song, um... I'll go with "Hey You", "Lowland Fling", and "Givin' It All Away"

also, I love their recordings, whoever produced their records did an excellent job for the most part, I love it, so dry, raw, but so much warmth

I only know two songs of their's - you'll probably know which ones I mean. For a while there though I only knew one and while it's still good in a way, the second song I heard from them is just so catchy, I still love it in a way. Though I've never really been at all serious in getting an album of their's. Probably because of them being a Metal based group, I just love them for those two songs they had instead and it's not as if I'm going to miss those songs because their classics with the Classic Rock Radio Stations.

I too am a fan. My first introduction to them was my sister's copy of FOUR WHEEL DRIVE...from then I was hooked. I had heard their singles on the radio prior to this.
I remember being at my grandparents house one year on New Year's Eve and they were on Dick Clark's Rockin' New Years and it was fantastic!! Here is a clip from that below. 1977!

I've loved everything from the beginning to Freeways. I've heard others say Freeways wasn't that good but I listen to it alot.

Gotta luv BTO....they were one of the 'heaviest' rock bands around in their day . Great rock blues too. I heard they were making a comeback less one member....welcome back boys...rock needs you guys

Wow great to see all the appreciation for BTO in here, even my buddy CP/M likes a couple of their songs.

Eberg you are 100% correct, anyone that plays Not Fragile the whole album can't help but be impressed from a technical production standpoint, it is still better engineered than some of the modern bands recording as I write this post.

MP, nice to see you too, I don't know what it was about Freeways, but it didn't leave a lasting impression on me for whatever reason. I think maybe I'll give it another chance, to see if I was too hasty.

Really S&L? A reunion tour? Keep me posted please I am interested and never heard anything about that being in the works.

Bachman-Turner Overdrive's first album was so good it flat out knocked me on my ass when it first heard it. "Stayed Awake All Night" was better than anything the Guess Who released since "Shakin" All Over".
