Cause of death: (Most likely) Suicide by heroin overdose.

Sid was an idiot, he couldn't play his instrument, he ruined the Sex Pistols, the England punk scene, and maybe even rock 'n roll, but it's not hard to see why he's so endearing. He's one of the great tragic figures of the last 50 years. His downfall was the kind of horror story that easily could have happened to many rock icons. It's really a shame that he didn't have any talent or career to back up his incredible legacy.
