I am a bit behind but here's my take on Sounds of Silence. Never really took the time before to listen to this album. The first songs obviously is wonderful. The singing is second to none. Further down the album my attention is not on the music. I see myself doing other stuff. This kind of laid-back (folksy) acoustic music is just not for me. From time to time I do enjoy it but no more then a few songs in a row. I've tried this album several times but I stop listening to it after a few songs.

It's not that I really dislike acoustic music, for example Nick Drake I like a lot. But for some reasons I can not get into the Sounds of Silence.

Thanks for your comments EF. Perhaps there will be something in the next round that is more to your taste. What did you think of Joe Walsh's Analog Man?

Apologies from my side. Was busy for most of the week. Didn't get a single chance to listen to Joe Walsh. Now I am free and have time.

I would fill in the sixth slot by suggesting Electric Jewels (1973) by April Wine.

Since I know nothing of the band, I would vote for Nolo's suggestion.
+1 for Mountain - Nantucket Sleighrid
